Living Room Progress & Built-Ins!

Happy New Year!  Oh, that was 14 days ago you say?  Oops.  ;-)  It's been a nice holiday season and vacation, but we're getting back into the swing of things finally!  I had a chance to style/rearrange the living room built-ins and Hubby finally mounted the big TV over the mantel.  Today, I'll give ya a little tour of the living room as it looks right now!  Here is the little entry area next to the coat closet.  Did I mention coat closets are awesome??  :-)

You can even get a nice little peek in the mirror of our open-concept kitchen!  Cute...
Next up is a view of the living room from the dining room...

It's so nice and bright when flooded with all that natural light...

And our new view isn't too shabby either!  That is the river between the other houses and trees.  So much better than a view of the school parking lot...  Duh...

Ok, here is the feature wall of the living room.  The fireplace, TV and built-ins...

The Hubster got the TV mounted on one of the most impressive mounts I've ever seen.  That thing was twice as heavy as the TV and swivels out so you can actually watch this beast from the dining room.  Some guy friends have suggested a larger TV, but, seriously, this thing isn't big enough???  Geez...  LOL...
I spent quite a few hours arranging and rearranging those shelves until I was happy with them.  I'm sure I'll continue playing around with them as my collection of blue and white pottery grows...

At some point, Hubby will install LED lighting in these built-ins...

It is quite a cozy little living room!  I am on the search for a new coffee table now.  We'll see how well that search goes...  Everything is either too big or too clunky or just too expensive.  I'll just have to be happy with my renovated nesting tables for now!
