I understand that some people view decorating as kind of a waste of time, money and effort. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinions! This world would be a pretty boring place if everyone thought exactly the same way about everything, right?
Personally, I enjoy living in a space that I have cultivated to our specific comfort level. Perhaps my standards are just higher than some, but I know they are definitely lower than others! Ha! What I'm getting at here is that when I feel like I am in the creative doldrums, I need to force myself to stop listening to the opinions of others. I need to look around me, enjoy everything I see, hear, touch, taste, feel. I need to ensure my body and mind are in alignment, that I have come to terms with certain facts of life, and eventually, the creative juices start to flow.
You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty...

At times, we simply need to open not only our eyes, but our hearts to the world around us. Only then can we apply our distinct, individual enhancements to our own lives, and in turn, enhance the lives of those we touch.
