No-Cost Guest Bedroom Redecorating

Since our Niece has moved out, we had to re-designate her bedroom into the new guest bedroom.  Unfortunately, I neglected to take any pictures of the room after we updated for her (it was really cute, oh well), but I did find two VERY fuzzy pictures of this same room when it was the office pre-studio.  Don't try adjusting your eyes, these pictures are really just that bad...

As you can see, we had A LOT of stuff jammed in this tiny room, including my huge elliptical.  It worked OK, but taking over the larger bedroom for the Studio, was one of the best ideas we've ever had.  In the first picture, you will see that we turned the closet into an office area with a desk, shelves and memo center.  This stayed as is and we simply purchased a much more efficient wardrobe for the other side of the room.

I outfitted the little desk area with things our guests may need while visiting.  Luckily, I keep (hoard) things that have been very useful in putting this room back together without spending a dime.  I just shopped the attic and other storage areas of our house and, Voila!  Free decorating!
Below is a closer shot of the desk area.  I left out some brochures on the area, a cute little sign from A Beautiful Mess with our WiFi password, some toiletries, sewing kit, pen and paper, books and a set of towels...

The bed is a convertible daybed that pulls out to a queen bed when needed...

We had to rearrange the furniture a bit to make it work, but the shelving unit that houses the television/DVD/Roku is attached to the wall.  That was NOT moving...  :-)

Considering that we had everything we needed already at hand, this came together rather quickly.  Of course, no-cost decorating always makes us happy, especially when there have been SOOOO many unforeseen bills that have hit us all at once here recently.  With the spare bathroom almost directly across the hall from this room, I think this will make a cozy little guest bedroom for short visits.  SHORT visits, ok?   ;-)  LOL...
