Hi there! When I posted the Comfy Screened Porch last week, I said I would give you a peek at how I made the Shore Nest wall art. Here are the two pieces I started with, well, almost. I forgot to take a picture before I dry brushed the dark brown wood, but you'll get the idea! These were hanging in our previous house, but they just didn't work in the new house's decor. I dry brushed the dark wood and then used some acrylic paint to create a simple scene. Then I broke out my Silhouette to cut some gold adhesive vinyl... After adhering the vinyl, this is what I had: I decided to add a little light house at the last minute. :-) I was going for a weathered, drift wood look and I think the dry brushing worked just fine for some quick outdoor art... These are a cute addition to our frugally decorated porch!
