Hi you guys! It’s been a busy week around here, but I did manage to finally finish the studio closet labeling today. If you will recall, the studio closet is also Raven’s kitty convenience station:
Before laying the flooring in the studio, we painted the inside of the closet a pretty aqua, installed shelving standards for storage and added an LED strip light. Man, does this closet hold A LOT of stuff! Check it out...
This closet even allowed me to rescue my trusty sewing machine from its dreary life in a storage crate (which was a pain to get to when I needed to use her!). I've had this baby since my 18th birthday (thanks Mom & Dad!)...
Most of the Ikea storage boxes we’ve had for ages, but I added four large boxes since we were increasing our storage space. The khaki boxes are just some cheap magazine files and an old box that I covered with fabric from the thrift store. Gotta love the hot glue gun! As you can see above, I had just hand written the labels with my calligraphy pen until I was able to actually print labels.
I re-printed all of the labels onto some aqua scrapbook paper to coordinate with the lovely wall color and voila! An organized storage area and private kitty station all in one small closet! Now, if the Hubby or Niece ever ask me where something is, I can just say, "It's in the studio closet, read the labels...". ;-) Hehe...
